While researching the behavioral culture of Hanoians , I came across a saying: 

"Even if not fragrant, still a jasmine flower, Though not refined, still a person of Trang An"

"Chẳng thơm cũng thể hoa nhài. Dẫu không thanh lịch, cũng người Tràng An"

In this poem, "Tràng An" refers to Trường An/ Tây An (Chang 'an/ Xi 'an), not to be confused with the Tràng An  the present-day Ninh Bình province. Tràng An is an elegant term in Chinese culture, denoting the ancient capital of Trường An, the oldest enduring capital in the history of various feudal dynasties in China.
